In 2012 Great Britain showed that it is one of the worlds leading cycle sport nations with Bradley Wiggins unprecedented win in the Tour de France and our unparalleled success at the Olympics.
This success has led to an increased interest in cycle sport by young people and schools now appreciate how cycling can meet their objectives for PE and School Sport.
Our British Cycling coaches are experienced at delivering a range of “Go Ride” coaching and racing activities that provide an introduction to various types of bike racing.
We have developed a number of entry level races that are ideal for inter school competition and our links with British Cycling ensure that we keep up to date with current coaching initiatives and are able to progress talented individuals on to British Cycling’s various performance pathways.
If you would like Tri-A-Sport to deliver cycle sport coaching as part of your school sport program, please contact us.
As experienced event organisers we can put on special cycling festivals for schools and community groups. These are a great means of introducing a new cycling program or celebrating achievement at the end of a program and are an ideal method of linking the school or group with the wider community.
The festivals can include a range of activities such as cycling skills sessions, led rides and entry level racing on a come and try it basis.
Scooting helps develop the fundamental movement skills of Agility, Balance and Coordination in key stage 1 that are so important for Long Term Athlete Development.
Safe scooting also enables children to take an active journey to school with consideration to others.
These programs are delivered as regular weekly sessions or as part of a wider school activity day.
We organize and manage both the schools Cycle Racing event and the schools Aquathlon event at the Norfolk School Games each year.
These events were both developed and introuduced by Tri-A-Sport into schools and enable inter school competition.
Our bike maintenance programs are really popular with schools and community groups. Our industry trained mechanic will take groups through the basics of how to look after your bike through to more complicated tasks such as changing cables.
These sessions build confidence and are a great way to learn how to keep your bike roadworthy.
